The seven Harry Potter books written by J.K.Rowling chronicle the adventures and life of the young wizard Harry Potter, together with his best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger who all attend Hogwarts School.
As of April 2007, the first six books in the seven book series have sold more than 325 million copies and have been translated into more than 64 languages. Each book chronicles one year in Harry's life, which is mostly spent at Hogwarts.
The first five books have been made into highly successful and popular movies.
